This morning after radiation Tim wanted to go to the Stake Center to be able to replace the flag. He had taken it down a week or so ago because it was so tattered. He bought a new one but has not been able to go put it up...until today. That is one of the great qualities Tim has -- he does what he says he will do! I love that about him.
So, in the cold and snow coming down under gray skies, a new flag was unfurled....
And a few more icy pictures taken....I can't get enough of them!
It says a lot about Tim that he would go and do such an honorable thing amidst his own trials. I admire the strength he faces this with. We have though a lot about you guys as we knew this week would be the beginning of some hard days ahead. We love you!
So glad to find your blog. :) Wow, what a wonderful man Tim is. I love the pic of he and the flag. :) He paid me the nicest compliment at New Beginnings. I was really touched. Then I received your note too. What a thoughtful family! I surely do appreciate you and send you all my love, especially at this time in your lives.
I am Loretta..wife to Tim and mom to 6 great kids. Autumn, Andrew, Jordan, Jacob, Abigail and Annah and mother-in-law to Lisa and McKenna, Heather and Daniel. I am a grandmother to *6 grandsons (soon to be 7!) and one granddaughter!
Tim and I have been married for 35 years and have lived in central Kentucky for 25 years of those years! Cancer invaded our lives in December 2008 when Tim was diagnosed with base of tongue cancer but in spite of it, we are still a happy and thriving family! I am grateful for my life, all we have come through, all we are going through and all that is yet to come because I believe, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

Beautiful pictures! I love the stone fence with the ice on it. Beautiful.
