Rain Drops and Rainbows....

A reporter asked newly called Apostle Elder D. Todd Christofferson,
“With your background in banking, and the great deal that has been made of food storage and preparation and the state of our economy . . .we were wondering if you have any advice for members of the church?”

Elder Christofferson said, “You mentioned banking and I thought of the terrible joke about a banker is someone who gives you an umbrella when the sun’s shining and wants it back when it starts to rain. “I would say, ‘Prepare for rain!’”

Things in the world are askew and will continue to be and that is why it is so vital that we take steps now to shore up our faith in and testimony of Jesus Christ. In the words from Shakespeare's Macbeth, to "...Screw your courage to the sticking-place, and we'll not fail." If that doesn't sound like having a rock solid testimony, I don't know what does! We have to have unshakable faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ. We have to have an unshakable testimony that we can cling to in stormy times. We have to know that we can have the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost if we refine our hearts and actions to make that possible. There is rain ahead but there is also a bright rainbow to be found!
