The guys are off to the Priesthood Session of General Conference and the girls and I are home making cookies for tomorrow's picnic at church. Before anyone thinks we have a ward picnic on Sunday, let me explain....
Back when we had only 2 kiddos -- we are talking about 19 or 20 years ago -- we lived too far from the chapel to travel back home again for lunch between sessions so we would pack a lunch and spend the whole day at the church having lunch between sessions and through the years it has become our family tradition on General Conference Sunday's. Believe it or not, we only live a block from the church but we STILL have our lunch at church. :) It is a day that the kids look forward to still, and even though our numbers are shrinking with time, we continue to have our conference lunch. Now that we have less people we tend to invite others to eat with us like the missionaries or new members or those new to the ward. Tomorrow we will have the missionaries and a couple who was just baptized a week ago.
So we are getting things ready for our lunch tomorrow and at the girl's begging, we pulled out the Halloween totes to riffle through the costumes and "Fallish" things to officially welcome the season. As the girls tried on costumes I set out some decorations. I do love Fall with its cooler temperatures and pretty colors. :)

Hey Loretta, conference has been excellent so far, hasn't it? What about that Rome, Italy temple, or even more the greater Kansas City area!!!!! Wow!
It has been absolutely excellent! I have so loved the talks and yes, a templein ROME! It was funny how everyone laughed and President Monson just smiled and said nothing! Wonder what the Pope thinks about the Mormons coming to Rome! And yes, KC area too -- so amazing!
